Journey from the mind to the heart…

After meeting countless meditation students who have problematic life, it’s very clear to me, that the more people rely on the mind, the more they will suffer. Particularly dualistic mind which is full of walls. For that reason, I never tired to ask students to grow from mind to heart. Quoting from energy researchers, the vibration of heart is thousand times higher than head. Moreover, when your vibration is higher you also grow into the higher level of life. The good news from meditation, there’s simple path to follow. Learn to be a watcher of the mind. Whatever happen in the mind, simply watch.

The less you react to the mind the better. Simply let the waves of mind come and go. Remember to be the beach which is not being disturbed by the waves. As the watcher getting stronger and stronger than the mind, you’ll naturally enter the gate of heart. You begin to be less interested in cleverness, but more attracted to kindness. As the candle makes darkness go away, the shift from mind to heart makes many suffering also go away. If you want to grow deeper, everytime you meet anything or anyone, ask deep inside: “What is the suffering of the others? How your presence can lessen the other’s suffering? At least don’t create another new suffering”. That’s a very convincing journey from mind to heart. To make your understanding deeper, now let’s contemplate together.

Limited and poisoning…

For your information, the journey from the mind to the heart is a metaphorical path that represents the transition from intellectual understanding to emotional and experiential realization. This journey is often depicted in literature, philosophy, and spiritual traditions as a crucial process for achieving true wisdom and inner peace.

The mind is where our logical, analytical, and reasoning faculties reside. It is the domain of thoughts, concepts, and ideas. When we learn something new or solve a problem, we primarily engage our minds. However, the mind can be limited by its reliance on logic and reason alone. It often seeks to control and categorize experiences, sometimes leading to overthinking and a disconnection from the deeper layers of our being. And from overthinking and disconnection comes many diseases and illness.

Heart makes you richer…

In contrast, the heart symbolizes the center of our emotions, intuition, and deeper understanding. It is associated with feelings, compassion, and empathy. The heart knows things in a way that the mind cannot grasp—through direct experience and emotional resonance. When we connect with our hearts, we open ourselves to the richness of human experience, transcending mere intellectual comprehension.

The journey from mind to heart involves integrating these two aspects of ourselves. It starts with recognizing the limitations of the mind and acknowledging the importance of emotions and intuition. This often requires practices like meditation, mindfulness, and self-reflection, which help quiet the incessant chatter of the mind and create space for the heart’s wisdom to emerge. As a result, life is much richer mentally and spiritually.

From harmony to harmony…

Ultimately, the journey from mind to heart is about finding harmony within ourselves, embracing both the clarity of the mind and the depth of the heart. To make life grow from harmony to harmony, it’s wise to consider the following steps.

  1. Both nature outside and inside love to be balance. Similar to night-day, mountain-beach, winter-summer, the life inside also flow from sad to glad, from pain to pleasure. Learn not to be greedy only wanting glad over sad, be balance.
  2. In the world of meditation has long been known the journey of “healing, whole, holy”. You begin to heal your life when learnng to be whole. As the peak and valley embrace each others, learn to embrace the duality of life.
  3. The spelling of live, life, love is very similar. The spelling of earth and heart also similar. Meaning, if you want to meet beauty here on earth, live your life with love. That’s the language of the heart.
