Sharing gratitude with close friends

Today 11-2-2022 Ibu and Guruji have grown up together for 44 years. Dating for 5 years, and being married for 39 years. Have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

We have been dating since we were 15 years old. And decided to get married at the age of 20 years old. Even though the journey was tough due to marrying at a young age, thankfully we turn out to be relatively safe.

In England there was an old message: “Good weather leaves strong trees”. In July 2021 we had great weather. Suddenly Guruji was infected by corona virus.

In the first hour of entering the government hospital, my wife was approached by a man: “If your husband dies, his body becomes the property of the government”. Suddenly her face turned pale.

During the 3 days in the hospital, my wife slept on the floor outside the hospital. Every 15 minutes she peeks through the glass. If her husband doesn’t move, my wife will come in.

Despite being yelled at by the nurses many times, she still came in, to make sure her husband was still alive. It is reminiscent of an old message.

“Love gives us wings”. Sure enough, on the 4th day there was a saving hand. Guruji was transferred to Denpasar by the Compassion family medical team.

Led by dr. Eka Imbawan, Guruji was saved. In the room next door, Guruji’s older brother died. There is also a mother’s family who also died.

To be noted, it is impossible for the lotus to bloom if it is not placed in a pond. It is impossible for a great love partner if she is not loved by the partner greatly.

And the fruit of this long relationship is not only children and grandchildren, but also millions of students since the 1990s. Dozens of hectares of forest that we care for also bring beautiful blessings.

We also care for a lot of wild animals in the hills in North Bali. That is a deep gratitude that I want to share with close friends. The lesson is simple.

The Male sex organs are like commando sticks. Anything that makes a partner uncomfortable, should not be done. That is the way Guruji holds the commando sticks.

May all beings be happy!

H.H. Guruji Gede Prama

Gede Prama started his spiritual journey through a dialogue with his symbolic Guru in a village at the north of Bali. The journey is then being enriched with his experiences of studying abroad, his meetings with the world greatest spiritual Gurus: His Holiness Dalai Lama, The Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh, as well as Professor Karen Armstrong; and also being deepened by his intense meditation practices.

Despite the fact that he was once a CEO of a large corporation with thousand of employees, and was traveling abroad frequently for the purpose of teaching, yet, being deeply moved by the Bali bombing incident in 2002, he then decided to leave everything and went back to his home island.
He has never leave Bali for the past few years. In fact, he rarely leaves the silence of the forest where he lives, except for the purpose of teaching at the sacred sites within Bali.
