The Beautiful Path to Salvation

Written by Gede Prama

This afternoon a close friend to Compassion Family who lives in Besakih Bali sent the attached photo. Telling about the condition of Mount Agung this afternoon, 5/11 2020. It felt like something was shaking inside when I first saw this photo.  At the same time there is a message like this: “While love gives you wings, compassion gives you compass”.

Mainly because there is a wing shaped cloud.  There is a Light in the form of love.  To step further, this era is indeed an extraordinary era.  In order to be healthy and survive in extraordinary times, humans should use a stepping stone that is also extraordinary. It is not appropriate to show a frightful data in this forum.  It is simply not beautiful.

What is more needed in this era is how to survive in this super dangerous time lap.  The following are some of the events that the Compassion family has experienced, as well as provisions to take steps so that all friends are healthy and safe.

One day, the sounds of Genta, which was super smooth and super soft, was heard came from Pura Basukian Besakih. Never before Guruji heard such beautiful and soft Genta’s sound.  Basukian means the path to salvation.

Then Jero Mangku Putera Weda was sent from Pura Dalem Puri to convey it to Jero Mangku at Pura Basukian Besakih.  Just asked to deliver this beautiful message.  Non other intention.

It was reported that Jero Mangku at Pura Basukian was so touched with this message, that he sent a Sacred Genta to Guruji.  This golden genta guarded by 3 dragons which is also has golden color.

In Tantra, the Dragon (along with Garuda, Lion, Tiger) is the guardian forces in this realm.  To be precise, keeping the sacred teachings of the Dharma in this realm of samsara

The message then, there is no need to have too much fear, there are guardians in this realm.  Although there are these guardians outside, always remember to take care of yourself inside

One of the symbols that Genta wants to convey is the teachings of Shiva-Buddha.  The stupa below represents the Buddha, the linggam above represents Shiva.

It is permissible to enter the secret realm of Shiva, but firstly remember to go through the paths of Buddhahood (Hinayana, Mahayana, Tantrayana).

As an outside appearance be a Hinayana disciple (thin body, very disciplined mind), in the inside be a follower of Mahayana (full compassion), in a secret place you can practice Tantra.

On this road, whatever the question, love is the answer.  Whatever the soul wound, love is the medicine.  Love is a very convincing inner protector

Love is not used to judge other people on the outside, but love is use to purify and perfect oneself on the inside

In short, at every step always ask how your presence can make other beings happy.  If you can not make them happy, simply do not add a new suffering to their long list of sufferings.  That is the most beautiful guardian of our time so that all friends can find this beautiful path to salvation.

The photo was sent by a member of the Compassion spiritual family who lives in the Besakih Bali area.  He want to be stated anonymous.  Photo of Mount Agung this afternoon, Thursday 5/11 2020.

About the author

Gede Prama

Gede Prama started his spiritual journey through a dialogue with his symbolic Guru in a village at the north of Bali. The journey is then being enriched with his experiences of studying abroad, his meetings with the world greatest spiritual Gurus: His Holiness Dalai Lama, The Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh, as well as Professor Karen Armstrong; and also being deepened by his intense meditation practices.

Despite the fact that he was once a CEO of a large corporation with thousand of employees, and was traveling abroad frequently for the purpose of teaching, yet, being deeply moved by the Bali bombing incident in 2002, he then decided to leave everything and went back to his home island.
He has never leave Bali for the past few years. In fact, he rarely leaves the silence of the forest where he lives, except for the purpose of teaching at the sacred sites within Bali.
