The Journey to Inner Pilgrimage

Written by Gede Prama

Never before heard in history, billions of people simultaneously live obediently by staying at home. And have no other choice but to make a pilgrimage to the innerself. Here are some meditative reflections to make the inner pilgrimage journey meet with the inner harmony.

1. The center of happiness is shifting from society (crowd) to solitude (inner solitude that is full of acceptance)
2. Grow from loneliness to independence. It would be very good if we can rest in silence
3. Loneliness is not a state without friends, it is a state without acceptance and smile.
4. Human beings who never done any mistakes do not exist. Even the holy soul makes mistakes in the beginning of their life journey.
5. Learn to see our life mistakes as an ingredients that leads our path to maturity. Forgive the things that had happened in the past, always believe that better days will come
6. Above all, rest at this moment as it is. Rest from all inner conflicts and criticism.
7. Remember, everything that happens (good -bad , right-wrong) is part of the same dance of perfection
8. Sit neatly above any duality (sorrow- happiness, bad-good) as a witness who is full of harmony
9. Use the gap between two breaths as an anchor to always be neatly connected to the present moment
10. The past has passed, the future has not yet to come, the present is the most beautiful gift
11. Whatever happens at this moment, hold it with a smile. A smile is another name for God as gentleness.

For those who are blessed, the body is no longer an enemy, but a friend in growth. In deeper path, the body can signal where the soul’s journey must be directed. The most blessed, one can see there are 114 Chakras (full circle of Light) in the body. Two are outside. The rest is inside. Among all that is inside, 4 cannot be touched. But if one perseveres and sincerely practices to revive the 108th Chakra, the others (read: which amounts to 6) naturally also will lighten up. When arrive here, the human body turns into the most beautiful house of the soul. Therefore all Buddhas experience complete Enlightenment when wearing the human body. The most beautiful body in the samsara realm.

About the author

Gede Prama

Gede Prama started his spiritual journey through a dialogue with his symbolic Guru in a village at the north of Bali. The journey is then being enriched with his experiences of studying abroad, his meetings with the world greatest spiritual Gurus: His Holiness Dalai Lama, The Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh, as well as Professor Karen Armstrong; and also being deepened by his intense meditation practices.

Despite the fact that he was once a CEO of a large corporation with thousand of employees, and was traveling abroad frequently for the purpose of teaching, yet, being deeply moved by the Bali bombing incident in 2002, he then decided to leave everything and went back to his home island.
He has never leave Bali for the past few years. In fact, he rarely leaves the silence of the forest where he lives, except for the purpose of teaching at the sacred sites within Bali.
