Using Pain to Open The Door of Light

Written by Gede Prama

To refresh the memories of friends, here is the essence of Guruji’s message last night through Live social media.  If a person blames another person after being visited by pain, it means he is using pain to open the door to darkness.  It is advisable to use pain to open the door of Light.  Here are the steps for pain to open the door of Light.

  1. Pain is one of the symbolic visions of the Guru in nature.  Even one of the symbolic Master’s faces who is very important, if not the most important
  2. Since it is one of the Master’s hands, remember to be a “submissive disciple” in front of pain.  Try not to fight it and find more lessons and guidance from it.
  3. Abstain from things that are prohibited by the pain.  For example, people with hepatitis B are prohibited from drinking alcohol, prohibited from having excessive cholesterol level, prohibited from any fatigueness.
  4. Follow the things that pain suggests.  In the hepatitis B story, it is recommended to get lots of rest, reduce stress and adjust our activities based on the energy of the body inside.
  5. Read the spiritual message behind the pain.  He who is afflicted with heart disease, always remember to perfecting love in the daily life.  Headaches is a sign that guide you to think a less and more flowing.
  6. Then allow yourself to be guided along the way by the spiritual messages behind illness.  Like a compass for directions along the way.
  7. Remember, compasses are only directions.  The important thing is not memorizing the message, but following the direction indicated.  Medicines only heal when it is taken.
  8. In time, it is very important to heal yourself with a variety of foods that come directly from nature.  It is the highest medicine in this world
  9. Since there are no standard guidelines, look at the body’s response to food.  Learn to be sensitive to the signs that come from within.  From the quality of your feces to the quality of your sleep.
  10. Use the steps above as an ingredient for optimism to heal from within.  Remember, those who are optimistic have much stronger placebo effect than those who are pessimistic.
  11. As long as life balance and connectedness are combined, the body can heal itself.  Through this approach, pain not only doesn’t kill you, it will help you to grow.  Not a few holy souls can open the door of Light using pain.

Gede Prama

Gede Prama started his spiritual journey through a dialogue with his symbolic Guru in a village at the north of Bali. The journey is then being enriched with his experiences of studying abroad, his meetings with the world greatest spiritual Gurus: His Holiness Dalai Lama, The Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh, as well as Professor Karen Armstrong; and also being deepened by his intense meditation practices.

Despite the fact that he was once a CEO of a large corporation with thousand of employees, and was traveling abroad frequently for the purpose of teaching, yet, being deeply moved by the Bali bombing incident in 2002, he then decided to leave everything and went back to his home island.
He has never leave Bali for the past few years. In fact, he rarely leaves the silence of the forest where he lives, except for the purpose of teaching at the sacred sites within Bali.
