Welcoming World Leaders of G20 in Bali (part 22)

One thing which is unique in Bali, all prayers are ended with the word shanti (peace) three times. Peace in the lower, peace in the middle, peace in the higher realms.

Few who realize, there’s another message there: “Peace in the beginning, peace in the ending, peace along the journey”.

Quoting from the great zen master of our time HH Thich Nhat Hanh: “Peace is a step”. Peace is not only availabe at the end, in each step there’s peace.

What you need is simple, to see the past as source of lessons, to put some faith to the future, and the most important thing is to be the best friend of the present.

It’s not coincidence that in english the Now is called the present, because it’s a gift. Pratically speaking, treat every present moment as a gift.

Breath is a gift, because without breath one will certainly die. Health is a gift, without health everything is nothing. Eating, drinking, sleeping, laughing, working, praying are all gift.

Look deeper into the children who open the gift. They are far from tired, healthy and happy. The same thing happen to you who treat the present as a gift.

In each breath there’s peace. Consequently, all inner war stop. As soon as inner war stop, leaders can also stop all the outer war. That’s a beautiful gift that we can give to the incoming world leaders of G20 who will come to Bali.

Welcome to Bali world leaders of G20. It is such an honour to share the peace vibration of Bali island to all of you. May all beings are happy.

About the author

H.H. Guruji Gede Prama

Gede Prama started his spiritual journey through a dialogue with his symbolic Guru in a village at the north of Bali. The journey is then being enriched with his experiences of studying abroad, his meetings with the world greatest spiritual Gurus: His Holiness Dalai Lama, The Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh, as well as Professor Karen Armstrong; and also being deepened by his intense meditation practices.

Despite the fact that he was once a CEO of a large corporation with thousand of employees, and was traveling abroad frequently for the purpose of teaching, yet, being deeply moved by the Bali bombing incident in 2002, he then decided to leave everything and went back to his home island.
He has never leave Bali for the past few years. In fact, he rarely leaves the silence of the forest where he lives, except for the purpose of teaching at the sacred sites within Bali.
