Welcoming World Leaders of G20 in Bali (part 24)

Similar to darkness open the gate of light, crisis and catastrophy open many secrets of life. In the year of 2000s, terrorist bombing was the most threatening power here on earth.

The biggest tragedy happened in september 11 2001 in US, precisely one day, one month and one year after (october 12 2002), the same human tragedies happened in Bali.

As recorded clearly in human history, only in Bali terrorist bombing was not followed by anger and renvenge. The quality of friendship among different religious followers in Bali even strengthening after the tragedy.

As a person who was born and grow in Bali, I still remember that the first important spiritual teaching that I heard in childhood is tatvamasi.

It simply means, in your happiness there’s my happiness. In your suffering there’s my suffering. This teachings deeply rooted in the life of Balinese.

Not only in the forms of daily life which is full of tolerance, but also in the form of sacred ritual which worshiping the higher and giving food to the lower.

Above all, wherever and whenever Balinese pray, it’s always ended with the word shanti (peace) three times: “Peace in the lower, peace in the middle, peace in the higher”.

Just in case we are blessed to share the peaceful vibration of Bali island to the incoming world leaders of G20, there are many human tragedies can be avoided.

Welcome to Bali world leaders of G20. It is such an honour to share the peace vibration of Bali island to all of you. May all beings are happy.

About the author

H.H. Guruji Gede Prama

Gede Prama started his spiritual journey through a dialogue with his symbolic Guru in a village at the north of Bali. The journey is then being enriched with his experiences of studying abroad, his meetings with the world greatest spiritual Gurus: His Holiness Dalai Lama, The Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh, as well as Professor Karen Armstrong; and also being deepened by his intense meditation practices.

Despite the fact that he was once a CEO of a large corporation with thousand of employees, and was traveling abroad frequently for the purpose of teaching, yet, being deeply moved by the Bali bombing incident in 2002, he then decided to leave everything and went back to his home island.
He has never leave Bali for the past few years. In fact, he rarely leaves the silence of the forest where he lives, except for the purpose of teaching at the sacred sites within Bali.
