Beautiful mind…

“If you want to know your mind in the past, look at your body now. If you want to know your body in the future, look at your mind now”, that’s the message of Ayur Veda. One of the oldest book on health and longevity. It underlines the importance of mind. Mind is like super power in this case. Consequently, those who deeply understand mind, also deeply understand life. It’s understandable when many meditators said, the journey of meditation is the journey from being the servant of mind into being the master of mind. While those who constatnly serve the mind will suffer a lot, great meditators who have become the masters of the mind will suffer less. Or even having suffering free of life.

For that reason, let’s dive together how the mind works. In general, mind is the result of interaction between intelligence and interaction. It will poisons when rigid intelligence (right-worng, black-white) meets rigid environment (full of walls that separate). Mind will become pond of medicine if flowing intelligence interact with flexible environment. And meditation does help in facilitating you to grow from rigid intelligence into flowing intelligence. As soon as your intellegence is perfectly flow, the negative impact of rigid environment will be very minimum. Now let’s discuss together, one aspect of the mind. How mind and body interact.

Body respond to the mind…

How the mind and body interact is a fundamental concept in both science and philosophy, emphasizing the interplay between mental states and physical health. This connection, often referred to as the mind-body link, illustrates how psychological processes can influence bodily functions and vice versa.

The concept is rooted in the idea that mental states such as stress, happiness, and anxiety can have tangible effects on the body. For example, chronic stress can lead to physical symptoms such as headaches, high blood pressure, and a weakened immune system. This is largely due to the body’s stress response, which involves the release of hormones like cortisol and adrenaline. Over time, prolonged activation of this response can result in various health issues, including cardiovascular disease and metabolic disorders.

Meditative mind heals…

The field of psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) explores the intricate interactions between the nervous system, the endocrine system, and the immune system. PNI research has shown that psychological factors can influence immune function, highlighting the profound connection between mental states and physical health. For example, individuals with strong social support networks tend to have better immune responses and lower rates of illness, demonstrating the impact of emotional and social factors on physical health.

Mind-body practices, such as yoga, tai chi, and meditation, exemplify this connection by integrating physical movement with mental focus and breath control. These practices have been shown to reduce stress, improve physical health, and enhance overall well-being. Techniques such as mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) also leverage the mind-body connection to treat various conditions by addressing both mental and physical aspects.

Practical steps…

Since flowing intelligence is very important to beautify the mind, learn more any thing that help mind to flow. For your information, the innermost core of Bali local genius is holy water. It’s also an invitation to have flowing mind. To put the idea more practical, learn psychology of the flow. The key idea, be balance between task and capacity. Take only task which is suitable to your capacity. That’s the beginning of flowing life.

Learning water logic is another suggestion. While rigid mind is like rock, flowing mind is similar to water. When water meet water, they embrace each others. Intelligence of flowing is another steps. In the moment of making decision, thinking is the best friend. When it comes to the fruits of decision, flowing is your best guide.
