Compassion

The Beautiful Angel Inside

Written by Gede Prama

In a cycle of times where the challenges from the outside seem so great and formidable, some people even actually died, it is worth contemplating to find the angel savior within. Here are some devotional materials worth contemplating so that all friends are healthy and safe.

  1. When washing your hands with soap, remember to also clear your mind from hostility, clear your heart from hatred
  2. When wearing a mask, remind yourself that the mask is not a friend of fright but a friend of alertness. If fear invites danger, alert is befriend with Light
  3. The large number of people wearing masks carries a symbolic message that is worth reading: “Talk less outside, find more meaning inside”
  4. Confused and chaotic, many world leaders here are actually telling us a secret: “Find the leader within. It is called the peace that radiates compassion.”
  5. In a super complex lap of time, the head does not help much, the heart does more. The vibration of the heart is thousands of times bigger than the head
  6. The heart can give you many things that the head cannot. If the head is the language of intelligence, the heart is the language of kindness
  7. As early as possible train yourself to be balanced in using your heart and head. Like finding the balance of a bicycle, only practice makes it perfect
  8. A sign of a person starting to close to the balance of the heart and head, they tend to easily eat deliciously and easily to sleep soundly. Not interested in complaining, more interested in growing
  9. Kindness is not only recommended by holy books, but convincingly makes the world inside and outside much more harmonious
  10. For that reason, reduce calling yourself right and the other party is wrong. Find out how your presence can be beautiful for others. At least by not being angry
  11. Whatever happens, remind yourself again and again: “the angel of saviour along the way is a flexible mind befriend with a grateful heart”

About the author

Gede Prama

Gede Prama started his spiritual journey through a dialogue with his symbolic Guru in a village at the north of Bali. The journey is then being enriched with his experiences of studying abroad, his meetings with the world greatest spiritual Gurus: His Holiness Dalai Lama, The Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh, as well as Professor Karen Armstrong; and also being deepened by his intense meditation practices.

Despite the fact that he was once a CEO of a large corporation with thousand of employees, and was traveling abroad frequently for the purpose of teaching, yet, being deeply moved by the Bali bombing incident in 2002, he then decided to leave everything and went back to his home island.
He has never leave Bali for the past few years. In fact, he rarely leaves the silence of the forest where he lives, except for the purpose of teaching at the sacred sites within Bali.
