The Bodhi Tree of a True Guru

Written by Gede Prama

When the soul pattern from the past, is married to a soul plan from the future, there will be born a beautiful spiritual baby named soul gift (blessing of the soul in the present). A sign that someone found his/her soul gift is simple, he/she began to stop. Not only stop looking for material power, they even stop looking for enlightenment. The only thing that does not stop is “a humble service for the happiness of other beings”

As a material for contemplation, quickly find a soul pattern from the past. It can be hidden on the first day of school, childhood dreams, or childhood happy memories that continue to follow your memories until today. Discover the soul plan of the future. Remember to do dream yoga, learn to sharpen your intuition, and find out your inner symphonies.

The elders in Tibet once said, meeting a true Master is a super rare opportunity. A true teacher is like a rubber band floating on the surface of the ocean. An ordinary person is like a turtle that emerges from the bottom of the ocean. The possibility of this meeting is very insignificant.

Photo caption: In the West side of the Borobudur miniature in the Ashram grows naturally a small Bodhi trees. No one ever planted the seed there. It suddenly appeared together with the emergence of the corona virus crisis. The West direction is where Amitaba Buddha resides. To the right of the Amitaba Buddha (where the Bodhi tree appears) is where Avalokiteshvara resides. The bodhi tree is a symbol of enlightenment.

About the author

Gede Prama

Gede Prama started his spiritual journey through a dialogue with his symbolic Guru in a village at the north of Bali. The journey is then being enriched with his experiences of studying abroad, his meetings with the world greatest spiritual Gurus: His Holiness Dalai Lama, The Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh, as well as Professor Karen Armstrong; and also being deepened by his intense meditation practices.

Despite the fact that he was once a CEO of a large corporation with thousand of employees, and was traveling abroad frequently for the purpose of teaching, yet, being deeply moved by the Bali bombing incident in 2002, he then decided to leave everything and went back to his home island.
He has never leave Bali for the past few years. In fact, he rarely leaves the silence of the forest where he lives, except for the purpose of teaching at the sacred sites within Bali.
