Compassion

Welcoming World Leaders of G20 in Bali (part 28)

Far before energy researchers concluded that peace is the highest vibration in this realm, Balinese elders decided to use peace as the peak of all prayers.

That’s why whenever and wherever the Balinese pray, it’s always ended with the word shanti (peace) three times. It’s not only vibrating outside, but also reminding inside.

At the same time, in the moment of praying and offering, flowers can be seen in every corner of Balinese temples. It is a whisper of love.

Borrowing from western tradition, say it with flowers. It implicitly means, you may use any kind of rituals or prayer, but always remember to do it with sincere love.

First of all begin with self-love, then love to life, till love to all sentient beings. Quoting from one of Dutch researcher who came to Bali in 16th century: “Bali is so charismatic because everything is offerings”.

From dancing, painting, farming, taking good care of family are all parts of the same offering. It’s a kind of deep love to gods and goddess.

The spiritual contemplation then, as water can’t be separated with wet, flower can’t be separated with beauty, deep peace can’t be separated with unconditional love.

Suppose that we can transfer the last beautiful spirits of Bali island to the incoming world leaders of G20, many human tragedies like war and virus can be reduced.

Welcome to Bali world leaders of G20. It is such an honour to share the peaceful vibration of Bali island to all of you. May all beings are happy…

About the author

H.H. Guruji Gede Prama

Gede Prama started his spiritual journey through a dialogue with his symbolic Guru in a village at the north of Bali. The journey is then being enriched with his experiences of studying abroad, his meetings with the world greatest spiritual Gurus: His Holiness Dalai Lama, The Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh, as well as Professor Karen Armstrong; and also being deepened by his intense meditation practices.

Despite the fact that he was once a CEO of a large corporation with thousand of employees, and was traveling abroad frequently for the purpose of teaching, yet, being deeply moved by the Bali bombing incident in 2002, he then decided to leave everything and went back to his home island.
He has never leave Bali for the past few years. In fact, he rarely leaves the silence of the forest where he lives, except for the purpose of teaching at the sacred sites within Bali.
