Observing The Unique Relationship with The Sun and Moon

Not many people understand the unique relationship between him/herself and the rotation cycle of the sun and moon.  In fact, this unique relationship has to do with many important things inside.  From mood, stress, healing, happiness until peace.  Pay attention to the holy souls who have descended to the earth.  Its relation to the lunar cycle in particular, are all different.

Some are close to the moonless night, some are befriends with the crescent moon, some are feeling touched during a half-moon night, some have their Guru born, experience enlightenment and die during a full moon.  Of course this is not a matter that one is more better than the others.  Again it is not.  But because someone’s relationship with the natural cycle is unique.

The invitation then, learn to took the time to observe the relationship between the rotation of the moon (the sun) on the outside and the cycle of the feelings (thoughts) in the inside.  This shall took a long time period of course.  There is no need to rush.  The most important thing is to be sensitive in your own feelings.  As someone who spends a long time in the open nature, there is a clear connection between the shifting of the outside nature and the realm in the inside.

The immediate benefit is that long before unfriendly feelings (thoughts) come to visit, one can actually anticipate it.  For example, in a round of time when bad moods frequently visits, avoid yourself to meet with an unfriendly guest.  It is similar to a dry leaf in the inside, it shall not meet with the burning fire that comes from outside.

If you want to do super important things – for example in Guruji’s case it is live broadcast teaching – choose a round of time where feelings (thoughts) are calm and balanced.  Not only it will bring lesser risk, but the light that can be shared with the world can be much greater.  The homework then, take the time to look at the relationship between the movement of nature on the outside and your inner nature in the inside.

Meditation will be very helpful in this case.  Seeing the movement of feelings (thoughts) on a daily basis is also helpful.  It is also helpful to record the time when negative emotions such as anger, as well as positive emotions such as joy arise.  Paying attention to the inner cycle, record the time when the mind is easily feel calm, record the time when the mind is easily becomes confused, this also helps.  Record this data for a long period of time.

Look at its relation to the cycle of the moon (sun) outside, if blessed you will find your own unique connection with the cycle of the Light outside.  Just as an example, when Guruji used to work in a Japanese company, there was a significant different between Japanese facial expressions with Indonesian facial expressions in the afternoon.  Japanese people are much brighter in the afternoon.

This is not only related to Japan as the land of the rising sun (read: evening is a sign that the soul will support the coming of the sunrise in the morning), but also because Japanese people spend a lot of time in entertainment places during night time.  This rhythm was apparently maintained by the Japanese at that time.  Hence their work productivity is better.

The lesson is for all close friends, quickly learn to find your own unique relationship with the round of Light outside. The inability to understand this type of unique relationship, then oftenly disobeyed the signs, this is the beginning of innumerable dangerous life accidents.  From illness to suicide. By understanding this kind of unique relationship, then learn to grow in harmony with it, that is the beginning of a beautiful luminous life.

H.H. Guruji Gede Prama

Gede Prama started his spiritual journey through a dialogue with his symbolic Guru in a village at the north of Bali. The journey is then being enriched with his experiences of studying abroad, his meetings with the world greatest spiritual Gurus: His Holiness Dalai Lama, The Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh, as well as Professor Karen Armstrong; and also being deepened by his intense meditation practices.
