Welcoming World Leaders of G20 in Bali (part 21)

In the old traditions of Balinese, there are two universes which are closely connected: “Buana alit which is our body, mind and spirit. Buana agung which is the whole universe”.

Both influence each others, both mirroring each others. Since we can not totally controle the whole universe, we can learn to manage the inner universe.

Perception is very important in this case. The way you perceive not only influence the inner experience, but also influence the outer environment.

The teachings of Balinese elder is clear and deep. Words are energy. And energy will invite the coming of counter energy.

As soon as you say something as true, there’s someone’s else will call it false. The same thing happen with divine-devil, light-darkness, holy-ugly.

The choice of Balinese elder was very wise: “Celebrate new year with silence day. Calling God as Sang Hyang Embang (the ultimate Silence)”.

Simply because only in the depth of silence those conflicting energies will dissolve. There’s only one thing left after this, the ultimate peace (parama shanti).

That’s the spirit which inhabit Bali for thousand years. Which makes Bali full of Light. Suppose that we can transfer the last peaceful spirit to the incoming world leaders, many human tragedies can be reduced.

Simply because when leaders take good care of the inner universe, at the same time they also take good care of the whole universe.

Welcome to Bali world leaders of G20. It is such an honour to share the peace vibration of Bali island to all of you. May all beings are happy.

About the author

H.H. Guruji Gede Prama

Gede Prama started his spiritual journey through a dialogue with his symbolic Guru in a village at the north of Bali. The journey is then being enriched with his experiences of studying abroad, his meetings with the world greatest spiritual Gurus: His Holiness Dalai Lama, The Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh, as well as Professor Karen Armstrong; and also being deepened by his intense meditation practices.

Despite the fact that he was once a CEO of a large corporation with thousand of employees, and was traveling abroad frequently for the purpose of teaching, yet, being deeply moved by the Bali bombing incident in 2002, he then decided to leave everything and went back to his home island.
He has never leave Bali for the past few years. In fact, he rarely leaves the silence of the forest where he lives, except for the purpose of teaching at the sacred sites within Bali.
